I Shoe Need To Go Shopping

I overhauled my shoe collection a few weeks ago and I showed you some of my favourite heels.  Well here are a few of my favourite flats. I love thats its warm enough to get these out without having to wear socks or tights with them

I've just realised that I am sorely lacking a good pair of wedges for those hot summer months I'm hoping we'll get.  I am definitely in need of a good day out shoe shopping with the girls.  All in all my wardrobe needs a good overhaul.  You would cringe if you saw some of the things I have in there!  Roll on my birthday (and hopefully some birthday money) so I can sort it out.

Super Proud Mum

This is just a quick post to say how proud I am of my little Aimee who graduated from pre-school today!  Paul and I went to watch her in her school concert and they surprised us at the end by coming out in their hats and capes to collect their certificates. So cute!

A Fun Day in the Park

We just spent a great day in the park thanks to the fantastic Moira Pentecostal Church.  Every year they put on a free event to give something back to the community.  There's free food and lots of attractions for the kids like face painting, bouncy castles, rare breed animals and loads more.

This year they were offering the chance to win one of five free 15min helicopter rides!  I put my name down but no luck I'm afraid.  The fire brigade and local police were out with their engines and bikes for the kids to climb all over too.  This event really brings the whole community together and encourages you to meet new people. I can't wait to see what they do next year!

Do you have any things going on in your community at the moment?

One of the best bits for me was the ladies pampering tent.  It was so well decorated with bunting and sweets and they were giving demonstrations on how to make flowers, hairclips and brooches out of ribbons and buttons. The free hand massage was absolute bliss:)

It gave me some great ideas for a bridal shower I'm hoping to throw.

And We're Back

Yay.....Blogger let me put my pictures up. My dog, Pepper, was wandering around in the background being nosy while Debbie took these photos and Aimee wanted to get in on the pictures too.  Can't believe how tall she is and she has only just turned 4!

Wonderful Wednesdays

I'm one of those lucky people that only works four days a week, which means I have every Wednesday to do as I please.  I had to pop into work for an hour today while Aimee was at school but apart from that I spent a lovely day with Aimee and my sister.  Debbie and I picked Aimee up from school and popped into a cafe for a bun before hitting town.  Well that was the plan until the heavens opened so we decided to have a wander round the village I live in instead.

We spent a lovely hour picking through craft shops and exploring through those small village shops that sell all sorts of knick knacks before heading home for scrambled eggs on toast.  The rest of the afternoon was spent watching Inkheart and munching on lightly salted doritos:)

It was a dress down day for me with comfy jeans and a cardy and I also tried out one of my new bows, which got a few nice comments.

Sorry for the small photos guys, blogger is being a real nuisance at the moment.  Is anyone else having problems with it?

Feel Good Hair

I always wear my hair down, day in, day out and I'm getting a little fed up of always looking the same.  While I put it up to do sports I don't have the best shaped face to wear it up when I go out.  Well thats how I feel anyway, but I thought I would try a few accessories to make myself feel a little more feminine.  Not a big change I know, a simple hairband or clip but its amazing how something so simple can make a difference to how you feel when you look in the mirror.

These are a few beauties I treated myself to yesterday.  The print bows were £2 in the sale at Dorothy Perkins and the hairband was only £2 in Primark.  The denim effect bow was a bargin £1 in Poundland, I came across it completely by accident.

What are the simple things that make you feel good?

Feline Fun

I'm finally putting up the pics of the second dress I purchased at the sample sale before my holiday. I kept forgetting to get photos when I was wearing it but here they are.  As you will see I'm wearing my trusty black cardigan again but I thought I'd try a belt over the top of it to change it up a bit.  Mario, Vicki's cat, decided he was very photogenic so there were plenty of laughs taking these photos, and plenty of cuddles too.

Can you spot Mario?

I think this dress is my favourite. I love the layered skirt and although it's short the long sleeves balance it out.  What are your favourite items of clothing?

Start of the Week Blues

Desires

Topshop
£36

Platform sandals
£80

£28

After a really crappy start to the week at work I decided to cheer myself up with a bit of online browsing.  I wouldn't shop much in Topshop because I always felt their prices were a little high but they have so much great stuff in at the moment and its quite reasonable.  Here are a few of my favourites.  I definitely think a few of these will make it to my birthday wish list in August!

As you can probably tell I have discovered polyvore.  This is my first set so its basic but I can't wait to play around with it some more.

Dinner, Drinks and Hair Dye

I am on such a come down after my weekend away!  Work is really dragging but I have lots to look forward to again this weekend.  I'm having dinner at my friend's (Russell and Lyanne's) house tomo night followed by celebration drinks at my sister's house.  A big congratulations Debbie for passing your PGCE and becoming a fully fledged teacher, I'm so proud of you:)

On Saturday Paul, Aimee and I are going to a fun day at Aimee's new primary school.  She met her new teacher yesterday and can't wait to start now.  Following that Vicki is coming round so I can dye her hair for her holiday.  It feels like a lifetime ago I was in Majorca and its only been a few weeks!  I'm waiting to get my next round of highlights done in July as I'm loving my lighter colour. I hope the blonde will stand out a bit more this time.

Finally, I am having dinner at Debbie's on Sunday and I've been invited to go for a few drinks with some of the girls from work.  I'm also hoping to squeeze in a trip to the cinema too before Water For Elephants isn't showing anymore.

Reading this back I'm wondering how I'm going to fit everything in lol  Saying that, I love knowing I have plenty to do on my days off.  It great in the winter to stay in and watch dvds all day with the heating on but I just want to get out when its warmer, although the rain we are having at the moment is ridiculous.  We even had hail stones today and there was a tornado in Londonderry yesterday....madness.

I'll leave you with some photos of my outfit from the wedding.  Thank you to Lyanne for taking loads of photos for me, you were a saint.
