Dinner, Drinks and Hair Dye

I am on such a come down after my weekend away!  Work is really dragging but I have lots to look forward to again this weekend.  I'm having dinner at my friend's (Russell and Lyanne's) house tomo night followed by celebration drinks at my sister's house.  A big congratulations Debbie for passing your PGCE and becoming a fully fledged teacher, I'm so proud of you:)

On Saturday Paul, Aimee and I are going to a fun day at Aimee's new primary school.  She met her new teacher yesterday and can't wait to start now.  Following that Vicki is coming round so I can dye her hair for her holiday.  It feels like a lifetime ago I was in Majorca and its only been a few weeks!  I'm waiting to get my next round of highlights done in July as I'm loving my lighter colour. I hope the blonde will stand out a bit more this time.

Finally, I am having dinner at Debbie's on Sunday and I've been invited to go for a few drinks with some of the girls from work.  I'm also hoping to squeeze in a trip to the cinema too before Water For Elephants isn't showing anymore.

Reading this back I'm wondering how I'm going to fit everything in lol  Saying that, I love knowing I have plenty to do on my days off.  It great in the winter to stay in and watch dvds all day with the heating on but I just want to get out when its warmer, although the rain we are having at the moment is ridiculous.  We even had hail stones today and there was a tornado in Londonderry yesterday....madness.

I'll leave you with some photos of my outfit from the wedding.  Thank you to Lyanne for taking loads of photos for me, you were a saint.

Wedding Bells

I had the most amazing weekend in Wolverhampton!  Thank you so much James and Faye for inviting me to be part of your special day. The wedding was beautiful and I met some fantastic people.

After the ceremony we went back to The Old Vicarage Hotel for a champagne and strawberry liquer drinks reception.  The bride and groom really thought of everything as there were dozens of  garden games to play - rounders, football, frizbee, archery and loads more.  The kids had a blast as did many of the more mature guests lol

After a lovely meal with a HUGE yorkshire pudding and the speeches it was time for plenty of dancing and I  have to say plenty of drinking.  Drinks were quite expensive and the choice was limited so we snuck up to our room for a few jagerbombs! (We brought our own alcohol in case of an emergency:).  People kept coming up to our room to join us and in the end we had a mini party of our own before heading back downstairs for some more dancing.

On the whole a brilliant day.  I just want to say good luck to the happy couple and I hope you have a wonderful life together.

Look out for my next post and I'll have some pictures up of what I wore.  What did everyone else get up to this weekend?

Have just spent a lovely weekend catching up with friends and making the most of the gorgeous weather with another bbq.  Aimee had everyone out playing on the trampoline with her, which was great cause it tired her out nicely before bed lol

There was plenty of wedding talk as three of my girlfriends are getting married next year! June, July and November are going to be busy and full of new dresses for me if I can afford it. (and shoes and bags and....)  I did treat myself yesterday to a new ring from Matalan.  Can't complain at only £2 and its adjustable so I can wear it on most fingers.  I'm slowly building up my jewellery collection which I have to admit is pitiful.  I'm currently looking for something with navy blue in it if anyone has any suggestions?

I realised this morning that two weeks isn't really that long until my holiday so I'm frantically pulling things out my wardrobe to see what I can bring.  Why do guys get it so easy, shorts and t-shirts and they're done.  What did everyone else do this weekend?

That's my lovely husband, Paul at the bbq there.  He did a much better job of cooking than I did last week!
