Beautiful Bits And Bobs

I can't believe how much time and energy it takes to sort out everything for school!  Its been two days and we are all exhausted and the homework hasn't even started yet.  I don't ever remember getting homework in P1, it seems cruel to use some of their precious play time but hopefully it won't be too much . 

 I'm happy to say Aimee loves school (thank goodness) and I'm looking forward to a few hours to myself on a Wednesday morning.  I will definitely be heading back to bed for the first few weeks just to remind myself what it feels like to have a lie in lol

As promised here are a few pics of some of the lovely things I got for my birthday.  I was very spoilt:)

The canvas of New York and the shelves I bought with my birthday money to spice my room up a bit.  I love having my favourite books on show and I love all things New York, despite not having been yet. (That's going to be my 30th birthday present to myself).

Follow The Twig Covered Road

I did a post before my holiday about a sample sale I went to and I promised to show you guys what I bought.  After trying on literally dozens of dresses I picked this one below.  After a good root around I found the leggings to match which I just had to have.  I love the stripes on top with the patterned skirt and that the skirt doesnt sit flat.  You can't tell in the photos but the leggings have tiny red dots on them making them a bit different too.

Vicki and I went out to take these photos the other night and I got covered in twigs and leaves trying to be a bit more creative with my posing.  Its coming along slowly and I got some funny looks from passers by, especially when I got up off the ground in the middle of an area of ferns lol

I'm off to Wolverhampton for a wedding in the morning and its a 5am start!  So I'm off to bed early to get plenty of beauty sleep.  I have my camera with me to take lots of lovely pics which I'll share with you when I get back.

My cardigan cost me £7 in primark and I have worn it to death.  I am getting it in every colour if they bring it out again this winter.

Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun....

I can't believe we have had another great weekend with the sun, we actually hit 20 degrees in April!  I had my first bbq of the year at Vicki's on Saturday night and it was great craic.  I wore my green ASOS dress that I featured in an earlier post as we went out later on for Vicki's birthday.  Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions of how to style it and I will post pics soon to get your feedback on how I did.

It's amazing how having my blog is making me think more about what I wear and pushing me to try new things.  I've only been blogging for a couple of months and it has definitely helped my confidence even though posing for photos is still a bit daunting!  I just want to say a big thank you to my followers and anyone who has taken the time to leave me a comment.  I appreciate all the support:)

I completed my hair transformation on Thursday night and although its more subtle than I thought it would be, I love it.  I think a new hairstyle can give you a new lease of life.....I feel at least five years younger lol  You'll see it soon with my ASOS dress pics (and hopefully when I finally put up a profile pic).
